We Started With a Simple Question
Why does managing money feel so overwhelming when it shouldn't be? That question led us to build something different.
How We Got Here
Back in 2019, our founder Tamsin Bellamy was working with small businesses across Queensland. She kept hearing the same frustration: people understood their work inside out, but the financial side felt like a foreign language.
Spreadsheets weren't cutting it. Expensive software packages came with features nobody needed and tutorials that assumed you already knew what you were doing. There had to be a better approach.
So we built zorypivaleon. Not as another budgeting tool, but as a way to make cost management actually make sense. We started with three pilot clients in early 2020, learned what worked (and what definitely didn't), and refined our methods through real-world testing.
What Drives Our Work
These aren't just values we stuck on a wall. They're the principles that shape every decision we make.
Clarity Over Complexity
We believe financial information should be understandable at a glance. If it takes more than three clicks to find what you need, we've failed. Our approach strips away jargon and focuses on what actually matters for your decisions.
Real-World Focus
Theory is great, but we operate in reality. Our methods are built from hundreds of conversations with people managing actual budgets, facing real constraints, and dealing with unexpected challenges. Every feature solves a problem someone actually had.
Partnership Mindset
We're not here to lecture or dictate. Financial management looks different for everyone, and what works for one person might not work for another. Our job is to provide tools and guidance that adapt to your specific situation.
The People Behind zorypivaleon
We're a small team based in Currumbin Waters, but we work with clients across Australia. Each person brings something different to the table, which is exactly how we like it.
Tamsin Bellamy
Founder & Lead Consultant
Spent a decade in corporate finance before realizing she'd rather help people than help shareholders. Started zorypivaleon to bridge the gap between financial expertise and everyday practical needs. Lives in Burleigh Heads with two rescue dogs who interrupt Zoom calls.
Idris Kowalczyk
Systems Architect
Builds the technical framework that makes our tools actually work. Former software engineer who got tired of building products nobody understood. Believes good design means you don't notice the design at all. Surfs most mornings before work.
Where We're Headed
Our goal for 2025 is straightforward: help more people take control of their finances without needing an accounting degree. We're developing new educational programs that launch in October, designed for people who've been putting off learning about cost management because it seemed too intimidating.
We're also expanding our workshop offerings across Queensland. If you're interested in learning more about our approach, our next open session runs in September 2025.
